Beschreibung

Craftsmanship and technology are still largely shaped by men. Boys often come into contact with tools and workshops from an early age, while girls frequently do not. Yet women bring exactly what counts when working with wood: sensitivity and perseverance. This leads to wonderful results and a lot of fun. That is why we offer this workshop: in a group of women only, you can gain your first experience of woodworking, try things out at your own pace and build the confidence for further workshops.
Kursinhalt

In this workshop, exclusively for women and taught by an experienced master cabinetmaker, you learn the basics of furniture making by building a wooden stool. You learn to use traditional hand tools such as the hand saw, chisel and plane. You are also taught basic woodworking techniques, classic joints such as the mortise and tenon, and how to finish wood surfaces.

The workshop builds craft skills, concentration and enthusiasm for making wooden furniture yourself.
