Beschreibung

The router is a hand-held power tool with a very fast rotating bit that cuts grooves, rabbets, edges and profiles into wood. Unlike the router table, the machine is guided over the fixed workpiece. It replaces many specialized hand planes such as rabbet, plow and molding planes and does in minutes what takes a long time by hand. It is used in building furniture, frames, doors and cabinets, but also for reproducing decorative moldings. With templates and fences, parts can be repeated exactly. Because of the high speed, safe working is essential, which is why the workshop starts with correct handling.

Kursinhalt

The router is probably the most versatile power tool in woodworking. You receive a comprehensive introduction to its correct use, safe working techniques and useful, necessary accessories. In the workshop you carry out practical exercises such as cutting grooves and rabbets, profiling and routing with templates. With what you learn, you can make back-panel rabbets, decorative moldings, baseboards and picture frame moldings, relief profiles, balcony boards and more yourself. We use professional routers by MAFELL and Festool.
