Beschreibung

On a table saw, a rotating blade rises out of a table top, and the workpiece is guided past it with a fence or a sliding sled. That makes it one of the most used machines in the woodshop: it cuts boards and panels precisely to size, at an angle and with a miter, and with a little practice also grooves, rabbets, tenons and slots. At the same time, it is one of the machines with the highest risk of accidents. Kickback is particularly dangerous, when the wood is caught by the blade and thrown back. A riving knife, push stick and the right way of working prevent this. The workshop therefore shows not only what is possible but also how to do it safely.

Kursinhalt

The table saw is an extremely versatile machine. Besides ripping and cutting to size, experienced woodworkers use it for cutting grooves and rabbets, slots and tenons, wedges, miter cuts, template work and more. In this workshop these techniques are presented in theory and practice, and you have the opportunity to practice them under guidance. With this knowledge you can use your table saw more effectively and more safely.
